Pastor of Students - Cuyahoga Valley Church

M.A. Theological Studies - Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary

I am an expository preacher that takes seriously the task of exegeting the Scriptures prayerfully and accurately while making practical application to the life of believer. I have over 10 years of preaching experience including teaching for middle school, high school, adults, outreach events, youth camps, and pastor's conferences.

Worship Leader

I have been leading worship for over 20 years in various contexts. My style is musically eclectic - ranging from timeless hymns to modern worship. I highly value Christ-exalting lyrics and believe that what we sing to God and about God matters immensely in our worship venues. I also believe that the corporate worship experience is intended to be participatory and not focused primarily on the worship leader. I lead vocally from guitar, but also play multiple instruments and have significant experience leading and rehearsing worship bands of all skills levels. I have extensive experience with sound, lighting, and current worship presentation software.

My leadership style begins with ensuring that everyone on the team is utilizing their God-given gifts in their roles. I ask for high levels of commitment to the mission and performance that pursues excellence in every area. However, I am deeply passionate about that same level of commitment and performance in personal and family life. Therefore, I prefer to encourage my team to work effectively and efficiently in order that work is accomplished on time so that people can ensure time for rest and family.

Over the years I have been a part of a team that has led over 20 interns and 40 volunteers. I currently oversee both the CVCYouth ministry staff, interns, and volunteers while also serving as a part of our church leadership team.
